Wish I was a "PETER".

thud!! thud!! hey u wat u doing? U lazy moron.. cant' u do something useful in life bla bla !@$#@$%$@% ...clapperclawed my nous. Well.. its time to revamp my blog.. and start 2 throw in my thoughts after tortuous two years to obtain another undergrad like degree that totally have changed the way I looked at things (hold on.. I am not talking about any business concept or any gyans ) in this world. Yes! I am gonna denude before you some of the eruditions that I think would have made me a boffo especially after an MBA from US .

First, wish I had the (funny) accent just as he had .. just add words like freakin, dude, well ahmm.., im like, whaaaat, oh maaaan.... and some other crap.. (remember everything shud have an accent!!).

Wish I could name some english rock songs from 80's, 90's in a random convo like him and pin a poster / wall paper in my room and comp to show that I am the next gen kid totally cool and OPEN MINDED!! "WISH I WAS HIM"..

Wish I was not single and committed to a gal in India and
speak arbit and random kiddish comment to attract the gals attention to get the title of being the most humorous person and offcourse would have given me a "Universal Brother" honor here (this status is given only to few priviledged in most engineering colleges in India).

Wish I was not a BIG fan of Rajnikanth and instead appreciated good looking heroes, who never knew what they were doing in front of the bioscope. May be I would have not been type casted as a typical ghetto guy whose knowledge is restricted to class-c zone!!

Wish I was a him! may be that would have changed the way the Indian crowd first looked at me..

I bet most of the junta judged me either as a typical Tambi guy who knows nothing beyond sambhar and curd rice.. or a nerdy kid who unknowingly joined the MBA bandwagon!! well thats fair n square coz thats completely human I remember the day when a missy said "Hey! cool maan! your reputation is improving day by day .. I heard that u did great things in the conf!".. n I said to myself.. "POODEEEEEEEE" lol!

oops!! who is this guy I want to be.. well- He is whom we call "PETER". The roots goes back to my engineering days where we used to called some characters with NickName. So Peter, this name was given to a person who is over-enthu shows off in every chance he gets and becomes the most trusted guy among the gals group to carry the title of "Universal Bro".

Someone said it very well..."The other side is always green..." very much true who knows what that Real Peter/Universal Bro must be thinking about his pathetic life LOL!!! ROTFL!!

Lost in the translation!!

There was an article, fwded by one of my friend at Kelley, about how Mumbaikers helped each other during the times of crisis. This clearly shows how we guys tend to get back to that comfort zone and try not to speculate what led to this evil ??

I would have been happier to read an article from the editor about Actions to Stop these incidents rather coming up with a Sentimental one... guess the editor had no other better topic to make it more appealing!! but then he striked the right Chord.. "SENTIMENT"...

I bet, that half more than half the people felt good/proud after reading the article and said "MERA BHARATH MAHAAN!!" ..

We eat, breathe, live and die on sentiments.. This is our Strength and Weakness!!

No offence made.. just my opinion,, and I agree that I too belong to the long list of Hypocrats from India to US!! What did I do so far..??? Just read fwded emails.. given my expert/unruly comments..and smoked some cigars !! Did I think of helping them?? Guess not!! Now I only think of me, myself and my iternship, deadlines and ofcourse chat with my friends to check if they got any GF and console myself!!

Gosh!! need to work on my ppt and meet the VP in an hour..!!!

Vidu Jooooooot!!!

anyways.. have fun!!

Cheers!

Internship- Ramblings

Hi all,

As time passes away, its hard to realise that I will be starting my internship after one year of MBA.
Well!! looking back my learning curve I still doubt whether am I ready for this job!!

All set, came to the US of A on a sunny day. As soon as the course started .. We had dozens of meetings and orientation programs!! Guess what was the first lesson taught to us ..

NETWORKING ( not a techie stuff)... I was taken away about how the importance was given for JOB and particularly the internship.. Infact we had Desi Seniors conducting a seperate meeting to brief on the difficulties about getting an internship in the US.

Being an International student, it was clear to me that its not gonna be a smooth ride for me...
But as usual the casual attitude creeped in me and started to give a no care about internship search!!! But made sure that I attended all the PUB parties ... had loads of fun..

well I have loads of assignments to do.. will post a detailed one how I went on to get an Internship at Coke...

B-2-B after a loong time...

Hi all,

Just came across this stupid blog.. after a long time and realised that its mine.. he he he!!

Well!! lot many things happened in this short period!! Too many things with mixed emotions...hope everything ends in a good note!!!

Any new comers (Including me :-) ) to this blog.. I would like to give a brief intro...

Me: Karthik, a typical South Indian who grew up in Coimbatore. As going by the crowd joined REC Trichy. Spent best days of my life there and again with no litlle guess joined the IT Bangdwagon to work for CTS in chennai.
Then B'lore was short of tallented Cut and Paste artists so, joined Accenture and spent my days, that I would call a turning point in my life. This is where I realised that life can have great twists at any point of time.
One fine day decided to do my MBA and that tooo in US. Gave GMAT, applied to some schools that I thought I have very little chance. Sometime!! God shows some mercy to little people like me.. Got an admit from Kelley School of Business. Took a huge loan and joined the elite MBA group.

So far its been a freaking ride here and finally landed with an Offer from The Coca-Cola Company and Washington Mutual Bank. This time I decided to do an unusual thing.. by not accepting the Coke offer. Yes!! I went the otherway to accept the WaMu offer.

Just few weeks left for my summer internship and I thought I can now start some freakin blogging daily to have fun!!!

Here you go!!! Back-2-Blogging (B-2-B) after a looong time!!!

Cheers!!

Florida Man Killed by Alligator

Hmmm...
Just checked my inbox to see any updates from oniste.. and I find a strange update from my Onsite Manager...

>>
Jeffery Stephens..
You all be careful when you got to Florida during triage. No matter howbad it gets, it wont be this bad!

LAKELAND, Fla. (March 15) - A man found dead in a pond was the victim ofa nearly nine-foot alligator that was captured and killed, the medicalexaminer's office said Tuesday.
Officials did not know what Don Owen, 56, a truck driver from Bartow, was doing at the pond about a dozen miles from his home. He had beenmissing since Wednesday when he was seen at a convenience store.
On Saturday his remains were found by several men fishing in Six PoundPond. An autopsy determined he had been killed by the eight-foot,nine-inch alligator, the Florida Fish and Wildlife ConservationCommission said.
Trappers caught the alligator Monday. Owen's forearm was found in itsstomach.
Residents said they had fed the alligator, which is illegal anddangerous, said Gary Morse, spokesman for the wildlife commission.
Alligators normally flee from humans unless threatened or cornered, butalligators that have been fed by humans begin to look at them as a foodsource, he noted.
Since 1948, 330 alligator attacks have been documented by thecommission. Sixteen have been fatal, including Owen's.

My Manager used to say that Golfing in Florida is too good... and I badly missed that one when I was there at Onsite... :-((

Anyways... Me got the I-20 Form from the Ohio... but still gotto make my decision..
Keeping my fingers crossed...!!!
